This Hollow Mouth Jointed Snaffle acts on the tongue and the corners of the mouth. The loose rings of this bit allow it to move more freely in the horses mouth. This bit can be fitted slightly wider than the eggbutt snaffle, and if required can have rubber bit guards fitted over the rings to prevent it from pinching the corners of the horses mouth.A very popular mild and light weight bit, available in a wide size range.
This bit is Dressage legal.

    Beautiful quality leather. The noseband is available in a plain, classic style to match my existing Dever bridle, so I can swap nosebands for jumping or showing. It is great to be able to buy a spare Grackle pad too - especially as good quality English leatherwork will last for years and years and it is the pad which will wear down first.
