The Dexter Bit is widely used in racing as it is compatible with strong, fit horses. The jointed feature gives a nutcracker action, but this is limited due to the attatchment onto the larger ring. The extended cheeks help to improve steering and also reduce the risk of the Bit being pulled through the horses mouth.
 
The Rubber mouth provides the feeling of softness in the mouth which may be desirable.
 
Stainless Steel core and rings.
