Chifney Anti Rearing Bit
This Stainless Steel Chifney Bit is also known as an Anti-Rearing Bit. Used to lead strong horses, or those prone to rearing when being led in hand. It needs to be attached to a slip head and cheek (can be purchased separately) or to a headcollar with bit straps. It cannot, and should not, be used to ride in.

Wash in warm water.
Dry with a soft cloth.

Beautiful quality leather. The noseband is available in a plain, classic style to match my existing Dever bridle, so I can swap nosebands for jumping or showing. It is great to be able to buy a spare Grackle pad too - especially as good quality English leatherwork will last for years and years and it is the pad which will wear down first.
